In April I became a big girl...

I bought this trainwreck. Its pretty from the outside but let me tell you looks are deceiving.

Inside you find a mess of beautiful wood floors that the previous owners tiled over, not once but twice.

A lowered entrance way between the living room and dining room. This provides a nice height limitation of who and who cannot walk between the two areas without ducking.

Glitter on the ceilings, and no not the spray kind. You can actually see fingerprints in the patterns. Not to mention the nice diamond shapes to really accent the 12 foot ceilings.

And this lightbulb that I'm sure is going to electricute me before my stint in this house is over.

These are the pictures I took the day I moved in. Unfortunately the house still pretty much looks the same.

Its an old 1921 bungalow in a historic neighborhood in Fort Worth. I bought it from a family who had owned it since the 80's and previous to them it was the original owners who had the house built. I wanted bad to own a house in this area. My mom and aunt have two house a couple of blocks away that are beautiful. I just didn't pay as much as they did thus how I ended up with this. Since April, I've gotten to take numerous bars off the windows, lit the house of fire (thank God the bars weren't on the windows anymore), burned my fingerprints off my hands from a paint gun and spent half my life's savings at Home Depot. I now realize I have my work cut out for me.
